About Sheltering Arms

Sheltering Arms is Georgia’s longest-established, and one of the largest, nonprofit providers of early childhood education. Since 1888, we have provided children their best possible start in a safe, nurturing environment where they can learn and grow. We are also committed to helping their families make life more secure now and for generations to come. Today, Sheltering Arms has 13 centers across metro Atlanta and offers more than 3,000 young children each year, providing the highest-quality early childhood education available and comprehensive family services designed to transform communities and break the cycle of generational poverty.

Cocktails & Conversation is Sheltering Arms’ thought leadership forum where community leaders and professionals network and join in a discussion about trending topics in early childhood education that could impact service to the children and families we serve.

Embrace Early Tribute Event

Join Sheltering Arms and hundreds of Atlanta’s business, community and philanthropic leaders for our annual signature fundraising event. This premiere affair celebrates the promise of early childhood education, and has taken place at some of the city’s most exclusive venues – Porsche Experience Center and Flourish in the heart of Buckhead. This year’s event, “Embrace Early: Create the Future,” will be virtual. Funds raised go to support Sheltering Arms’ program and provide needs-based tuition scholarships.
